As a Rental Attendant at Hatley Pointe, you’ll be part of the team that gets our guests ready for the mountain. You’ll help fit, adjust, and return ski and snowboard equipment while providing a warm, efficient, and safe rental experience. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, staying active, and being part of a fun, fast-paced mountain environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests and assist them through the rental process with friendly, knowledgeable service.
- Fit and adjust ski and snowboard boots, skis, and boards according to guest size, ability level, and safety standards.
- Check equipment in and out accurately and efficiently using resort systems.
- Inspect returned gear for damage and perform light cleaning or organization as needed.
- Maintain a clean, orderly rental area and help keep gear in top condition.
- Communicate clearly with other team members to ensure smooth guest flow during busy times.
- Cross train within all areas of rentals including ski valet, helmets, and bibs.
- Provide basic information about mountain conditions, safety practices, and resort amenities.
- Uphold Hatley Pointe’s standards of guest service, safety, and teamwork.
Qualifications:
- Positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work well in a busy, team-oriented environment.
- Basic mechanical or equipment-handling skills a plus (training provided).
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and during peak periods (especially mid-December through early January).
