Slope passes are non-refundable and non-transferable. Unused tickets cannot be applied to future purchases. Lost passes will not be replaced. A $15 fee applies for lost media replacements; however, you can reuse and reload your media card for future visits to avoid this fee. All guests must have a valid day or night slope pass and ski/snowboard equipment to enter any slope system, including bunny slopes. Riding lifts without ski/snowboard equipment is strictly prohibited. Management reserves the right to evoke slope passes at any time. Though we take every precaution in lift maintenance practices, grease or light debris have potential to be present and /or drip from lift areas and equipment. This is an inherent risk to winter sports and Hatley Pointe is not responsible for stains or damage to garments, ski/snowboard equipment, or otherwise.

Service animals (dogs or miniature horses only) are not permitted on open chairlifts, mountain trails, ski runs, or any skiing and snowboarding terrain at Hatley Pointe. This policy is pursuant to the Americans with Disability Act (ADA), federal regulations at 28 C.F.R. 36.301 et seq., and state law, and is based on specific safety requirements determined by Hatley Pointe regarding the safety of other guests and employees, as well as for the safety of the service animal. The policy of restricting service animals on both chairlifts and mountain terrain also applies to all other animals, including pets and emotional support animals. Due to the unique winter environmental conditions and the extreme terrain and weather conditions, Hatley Pointe does not allow or provide access to on-mountain venues during winter operations for guests with service animals. At all times, the service animal must be under the control of its handler. The service animal shall have a harness, leash, or other tether, unless either the handler is unable because of a disability to use a harness, leash or other tether, or the use of a harness, leash, or other tether would interfere with the service animal’s safe and effective performance of work or tasks, in which case the service animal must be otherwise under the handler’s control (e.g., voice command, signals, or other effective means). Authorized personnel may request the service animal be removed from the premises if: (1) The animal is out of control and the animal’s handler does not take immediate action to control the animal; or (2) the animal is not housebroken. If the service animal is removed, Hatley Pointe will make all reasonable efforts to the guest with a disability, the opportunity to participate in the services or activities without having the service animal on premise. If it is not readily obvious that an animal is in the service of a disabled guest, resort personnel may ask the handler: A) if the animal is required because of a disability or is being trained as a Service Animal and B) what service or work the animal is trained to provide. No employee shall ask any questions regarding the nature of the guest’s disability or the extent of their disability.

Safety

No, it is not safe to ski in a blizzard. Blizzards create dangerous conditions with low visibility, high winds, and extreme cold, all of which can lead to serious accidents. If a blizzard is in the forecast, we recommend postponing your ski plans and staying indoors until conditions improve.

Yes, you can ski at night; it’s a blast. However, skiing at night is only safe on our designated, well-lit slopes monitored closely by our resort. It is crucial to stay on marked trails when skiing after dark, as visibility is reduced at night. Always check with resort staff if there is ever a question on conditions or the safety of night skiing.

No, skiing or snowboarding off-trail can be extremely dangerous. Off-trail areas are not monitored or maintained, which increases the risk of encountering hidden obstacles, avalanches, and other hazards. For your safety, always stay on designated trails.

  1. Wear Proper Gear
    • Ensure you are dressed appropriately for the mountain environment. Wear layers to protect against the cold, and always use a helmet and goggles to safeguard against head injuries and sun glare.
  2. Know Your Limits
    • Be aware of your skill level and avoid attempting slopes or trails that are beyond your ability. Pushing yourself too far can lead to accidents and injuries.
  3. Always Use the Buddy System
    • Never venture out alone. Having a companion ensures that someone is there to assist in case of an emergency.
  4. Stay Hydrated and Take Breaks
    • Cold weather can be dehydrating, and physical exertion increases this risk. Drink plenty of water and take regular breaks to prevent fatigue.
  5. Check the Weather and Avalanche Reports
    • Mountain weather can change rapidly. Always check the latest weather forecasts and avalanche warnings before heading out. This information is vital for your safety on the slopes.
  6. Follow Resort Signs and Warnings
    • Resort signage is in place for your protection. Pay attention to all signs, barriers, and warnings, as they are there to guide you safely through the terrain.
  7. Learn How to Fall Safely
    • In case of a fall, try to land on your side and avoid using your arms to break the fall. Proper falling techniques can reduce the risk of injury.
